Full Alloy Wheel Refurbishment Process
Please compare our Full Alloy Wheel Refurbishment process with our Mobile Alloy Wheel Refurbishment to see which is the best option for you.
Whist our mobile operation can repair the majority of alloy wheel problems, if your alloy wheels are severely corroded, (i.e paint flaking or corrosion on the tyre seal) you may wish to opt for a “full” alloy wheel refurbishment service. This is not a mobile service, as the techniques and processes involved are just not available for a mobile operation. The wheels are fully stripped of any previous coating and the wheel is subject to a full alloy wheel refurbishment using powdercoat.
The process involves:
* Tyres are removed (we prefer to have wheels delivered to us without tyres – see below)
* Wheels are dipped in acid to remove existing finish.
* Wheels are shot blasted to remove any excess paint and corrosion
* Wheels are primed and cured
* Wheels are powder coated in your desired colour and cured
* Wheels are lacquered and baked
* Tyres are refitted if required and balanced (if supplied).
Full Alloy Wheel Refurbishment – Change the colour of your alloys.
Full alloy wheel refurbishment is also a good choice when it comes to changing the colour of your alloy wheels. Although our mobile alloy wheel refurbishment can change the colour of your alloys, we can spray the face of the wheel only. Therefore if you wish to change the colour of your wheels, opting for a full alloy wheel refurbishment makes the obvious choice. We can powder coat your wheels in any colour, including a chrome powder coat option. If you wish for a specific colour code to be applied, an additional charge may be made. We are sorry but at present we do not have the facility for you to leave your car with us or to loan you wheels at this time.
Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
