BMW E46 M3 Diamond Cut Alloy Wheel Refurbishment
This customer came to us looking to have the alloy wheels refurbished on his E46 BMW M3. The wheels are polished / diamond cut and suffer from water ingress under the lacquer making the wheels look unsightly. The customer chose to have a diamond cut alloy wheel refurbishment on his wheels to return them to an original appearance with the added value of a 12 month guarantee. In this case the M3 wheels were showing signs of water ingress and kerb marks, making them look unsightly against a clean car, so they were treated to a M3 Diamond Cut Alloy Wheel Refurbishment.
How we carry out M3 Diamond Cut Alloy Wheel Refurbishment
The process our diamond cut alloy wheel refurbishment undertakes is a thorough and full refurbishment of the wheels. The wheels are stripped before being re primered and repainted, then diamond cut using a state of the art CNC Haas lathe, not a cheaper copy lathe like most other companies. This is a similar to the machine used by the manufacturer to ensure the best results are achieved. Finally the wheels are lacquered and baked. Once the BMW e46 M3 Alloy Wheels had gone through this process, the tyres were fitted and the wheels put back on the car.

Bentley Alloy Wheel Refurbishment Hull
This customer called us after finding us via the internet and requiring alloy wheel refurbishment on his Bentley in Hull. As the wheels needed a cosmetic repair only, we utilised our mobile alloy wheel refurbishment service to provide a solution to repair the alloy wheels. The wheels are 20″ “Mulliner” specification alloy wheels and are a 2 piece wheel. To conduct a quality repair we carried out a split rim alloy wheel refurbishment as this is the best way to retutn the wheels to an OEM finish. The wheels were heavily kerbed which detracted from the appearance from the car, and the polished lip had also suffered corrosion.
Split rim alloy wheel refurbishment process
The wheels were removed from the car, and the tyres deflated. The wheels needed to be separated into their component parts, heat was applied to the wheels to assist in removing the bolts. Once the bolts were removed the face of the wheel was separated from the wheel centre. Once separated, the component parts were subject to an alloy wheel refurbishment. The faces were filled using a specialist aluminium filler to ensure the shape of the wheel spokes are kept. Once they had been prepared, they were given a coat of primer and cured. The primer was flattened and 2 coats of Bentley Silver applied. Once this had been cured, a coat of lacquer was applied and cured under infra red heat source. The centre of the wheel required the rim polishing, the kerb marks were taken out and the lustre fetched back to the rim using a selection of abrasives and compounds.

Audi TT Split Rim Alloy Wheel Refurbishment Sheffield
A job for one of our many trade customers. This was conducted using a mixture of our mobile alloy wheel refurbishment and our full alloy wheel refurbishment services. This TT had been traded in, and was in excellent condition – the only let down being the wheels. They are a split rim BBS wheel which were were an option on the MK1 TT. The wheels should have a polished outer rim, however – this had been painted at some point and the wheel centre had suffered severe corrosion. The wheel was split into its component parts, and due to the centres corrosion was stripped, blasted and recoated in silver. Whilst this was taking place, the outer rim was metal polished using our metal polishing machine, eradicating any kerb marks, stripping the original finish and then buffing to a mirror shine. The wheels were bolted back together and returned to the car.

This customer called us wanting the wheels on her Mini Cooper refurbished. Instead of opting for Silver, the customer opted for a change of colour and decided on white! The wheels were suffering from the usual kerb marks, and slight corrosion around the centres. The wheels were removed from the vehicle, tyres deflated and dropped from the rim. The face was made good, repairing all the damage, and then given a coat of primer. 2 coats of the correct Aspen White paint were appplied, before a coat of lacquer and the wheel cured. The tyres were reinflated and the wheels returned to the car.
