This customer brought the wheel from Hull to us in Doncaster to have the wheel repaired after sliding in the snow. The wheel arrived to us with a small chunk missing from it where it had impacted with the kerb. You can see this in the picture as the impact also took a chunk of the tyre aswell! The owner is having a new tyre fitted. This particular design of wheel is particular to the portfolio model of the XF, and features chrome inserts in the wheel. The chunk was filled using a special alloy filler, and once filled, sanded flat to regain the profile of the rim. The inserts were masked off and the wheel was primed, painted and lacquered.
